Dr. Melissa S. DeLuca is a NJ licensed psychologist, a NJ certified school psychologist, and a board certified diplomate of the American Board of School Neuropsychology who has experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing a wide range of learning and psychological concerns.
Dr. DeLuca graduated from Rutgers University with Highest Honors in Psychology. She went on to complete her Master’s in Counseling Psychology and advanced certificate in School Psychology from Georgian Court University. She subsequently received her Doctorate in School Psychology (Psy.D.), with a concentration in Neuropsychology and neuropsychological testing from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She went on to earn her postgraduate certification as a school neuropsychologist through the American Board of School Neuropsychology (ABSNP).
Dr. DeLuca has been a practicing school psychologist since 2002 and a practicing School Neuropsychologist since 2012. Her training and practice include conducting psychological, psycho-educational, and neuropsychological assessments for the purposes of diagnosis and determining eligibility for special education and related services. She has worked hand in hand with children, parents, teachers, and related service providers to deliver educational based recommendations and goals for individuals with disabilities. She has been responsible for IEP programming and the development of 504 plans. Over the past fifteen years, Dr. DeLuca’s school-based experience has also included counseling, conducting FBAs, providing school-based consultation services to teachers, and various case management responsibilities. In addition, her post-doctoral fellowship experience in private practice has concentrated on neuropsychological assessments, counseling, biofeedback, and cognitive rehabilitation services.
Dr. DeLuca is a member of New Jersey Association of School Psychologists, New Jersey Psychological Association, and New Jersey Neuropsychological Society.
